October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what better way to help than to help raise funds for a worthy cause. Losing a grandfather to leukemia, friends to brain cancer and breast cancer it is something that has touched all of our lives. But there is good news, many people are indeed surviving and thriving beyond.
I believe that contributing and making a difference is important!
We thought a fundraiser would be a great way to contribute, give back and also teach our daughter some entrepreneurial skills as part of a homeschooling project we created. We didn’t have any cookies but what we did have was a book! We used the book I wrote as a tool to help raise funds. Inspired through the loss of my best friend to breast cancer, ‘A Champion’s Guide To Thriving Beyond Breast Cancer‘ was written from interviews I did in our community. You’ll be inspired and encouraged by the stories of several women surviving their journeys beyond breast cancer. Blessed and grateful I am to have survived and thrived beyond a near death experience myself. Each day is a gift. Our chance to make a difference.
On our travels fundraising, we met many survivors who were happy sharing their stories and we were happy hearing them!
This past week we had a lot of fun fundraising for the American Cancer Society and also had fun in the community getting to meet lots of interesting people.
Go HERE to order and join us in supporting this wonderful cause with your contribution.
50% of the proceeds from this book sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
